The hotel attracts friendly people who like myself return year after year. The Gamvrellis family are so helpful and warm, they can't do enough for you. Minas and Kostas cook up some amazing meals and great cocktails, but Mamas cooking is the tops.

Never fails to be a great holiday

The place has regulars who come every year, sometimes twice a year so that says something for it. Personally I can understand why. I would certainly return and recommend to family and friends.

A hidden gem

Just come back from a lovely two week stay here with my children. Very friendly staff and clean apartments. The rooms are cleaned daily. Accomadation is basic but there is a plenty to eat downstairs and restaurants near by.

Great time

We have been to Kos 5 times before and never stayed here.....cant believe why not it has an amazing pool and pool bar...they have started to renovate and have a new lovely reception and breakfast area and the first floor rooms have all been done to a high standard.

Amazing

This was our second visit to Hotel Iris and once again cannot fault it. The apartments are clean and spacious, the staff are so friendly, Mynas and Kostas work very hard, they all work very long days to ensure everyone is happy.

Again a fabulous holiday

Myself and my partner stayed here for 10 days and we could not fault it! Lived up to all previous reviews! Beds and towels changed almost daily, warm and friendly staff! We were lucky enough to get a refurbished room, my partner’s family were in the original rooms.

Fantastic first time in Kos!

Just spent 18 days at the Iris, wish it could have been more. Our 6th holiday there and can’t wait for our 7th. Costa, Minas and all the family work tirelessly to make sure every guest have nothing to do but chill and enjoy their holiday.

Our home in the sun

A great hotel within striking distance of Kos town and still in a quiet area. Such a hardworking ,friendly family who are all so welcoming.All areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean. If you are looking for a small family run hotel I would recommend The Iris.

Friendly clean hotel

This is the second time my partner and I have stayed here. The family who run this hotel are excellent. Kostas always entertains from behind the bar, and Minas is the straight man in this perfect comedy duo. We have stayed in a garden room, previously, but the self-catering rooms are worth the price difference. Drinks are reasonably priced, choices include draught beer, spirits, mixers cocktails and soft drinks.

Great family-run hotel

Mama who sorts the breakfast is the sweetest lady , and loves what she does , the first day we wasn’t overly impressed with breakfast but as time went on we really enjoyed it. Breads , eggs, jams, cereal , cheese , salami , ham , fruit , juice , coffee and tea . We was satisfied. Thankyou to all the family , you do an amazing job.

First time to kos and the hotel. Loved it

Another wonderful holiday at this family run hotel, so clean, everyone very helpful, Greek nights a fun family event should not be missed. Large swimming pool, pool bar food reasonably priced, very good value. Whilst I have put that this is a budget hotel that is only reflected in the price. And not the service or quality of anything they provide.

Another wonderful holiday

I’ve never experienced such great quality service from an hotel before, until I came to IRIS Hotel in Kos. Thanks to Kostas and his family, we will be coming every year. The rooms were beautiful and comfy, especially for myself who suffers from a spinal condition, I’ve never slept so well before. The area is safe and such a good place to come solo, as a couple or for a family holiday. The hotel is a great atmosphere and everyone is so lovely, the fact that Kostas and his family treat all the guest like family is so heartwarming. The weekly Barbecue nights are the epitome of this.
